Candice Olson Design Philosophy

Design Philosophy:
The Candice Olson design philosophy begins with the understanding of people’s personalities. To create a livable expression of one’s personality in today’s modern world requires the skill to balance contrasts and bridge a visual connection between interior design and real life.

At the core of this philosophy are classic, timeless elements that combine with global treasures and fashion-forward accessories to create distinct design personalities. The style incorporates interesting textures and natural materials to soften hard surfaces and bring comfort to the high-tech world we live in. A tongue-in-cheek sense of humor is found throughout the look, which is evident in the use of unusual materials applied in conventional ways.

This philosophy carries an attitude that leans toward modern, pared-down lines, trimmed with stylized and refined details. The final looks are decidedly eclectic, but not eccentric; the visual connection exciting yet familiar; the tactile connection immediate and simple; and the utility of each component always in line with the personality’s expectations.

Brand Philosophy:
Candice Olson is a modern and versatile design expert whose goal is to create a tangible “lifestyle communication” with upscale male and female consumers. Showcasing a compelling design style, Candice empowers the consumer to create their own design-identity. The design advice is offered in an approachable, witty and charming manner, never undermining the consumer’s confidence by forcing a design trend or mandate.

Candice Olson’s style is timeless and can be personally and successfully adopted within almost any interior environment. Brand trust is critical; the quality and utility of every product immediately identifiable. The essence of Candice’s success is that the Brand is simultaneously inspirational, and aspirational.
